Niger State Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Umaru Bago, has advocated continued support of the Nigerian Armed Forces in curtailing the security challenges faced by the State due to its Land mass which is the largest in the Country.
Governor Umaru Bago, who was at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja on a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, explained that Niger State is surrounded by water bodies, which makes the State vulnerable to security challenges.
He appreciated the efforts of the Nigerian Armed Forces in their commitment to eliminating criminal elements but solicited more support towards achieving the set objectives.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, reassured Governor Umaru Bago that the Armed Forces remain committed in its quest to surmounting the insecurity in the State and the Country at large.
He acknowledged the strategic nature of Niger State and said, the Armed Forces will do its possible best to ensure that Citizens go about living normal lives free from attacks.
The Chief of Defence Staff used the occasion to equally congratulate the Governor on his assumption of Office as the State Governor.
