A traditional ruler in kogi state, the
Olu of Apata, Oba Frederick Balogun JP, Wednesday repaired Oyi Gada Biu Apata (bridge), a facility notorious for accident on the Obajana -Lokoja Highway in Lokoja Local Government Area of the state.

Our Correspondent reports that the traditional ruler has been single handedly sponsoring the repair of the bridge to safe lives on the road

Oba Balogun, who personally supervised the repair work, lamented the prevalent auto-crashes on the road, resulting in deaths in some cases.

“It is very unfortunate that I have to see to it again, that my subjects and I in Apata Communit, for the fifth time, work on the deteriorating Oyi Gada Biu Apata on the federal route linking the entire Northern states and Abuja to the Southern part of the country.

“The bridge which was constructed in 1976 has always been in bad shape because of the high volume and heavy traffic on the road.
