Police on rescue mission to free Officer from gunmen in Kwara

The Police Command in Kwara state says it is tirelessly working towards rescuing the abducted Assistant Superintendent of police, even as the motive of the abduction remained sketchy as at the time of this repor.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for the Police Command in the state,SP Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the story in a statement in Ilorin on Thursday, a copy of which was made available to The Reporters.

” The incident, serious as it is, has not diminished the resolve of the command to protect lives/ property of the citizens,”PPRO assured.

Sources in Ilorin told our correspondent that, the victim, ASP Mumini Yusuf was kidnapped at his residence in Agbarigidoma area, opposite Air force junction, Oloje in Ilorin on Tuesday night.
