Sources from Madina informed our Correspondent that the pilgrims visited one of such sites called Quba mosque.
According to Google, Quba mosque is the first mosque in Islamic history and the oldest mosque in the world, originally completed in 622 CE.
The global social media platform added that the mosque was founded by Prophet Muhammad, after his migration from Mecca to Yathrib (Medina).
History has it that Quba mosque was the special place where the Prophet and his companions, prayed, on their journey from Mecca to Madina.
In this regard, the mosque has been regarded,by muslims globally ,probably as the oldest and highly regarded place to visit, especially during Hajj activities in Saudi Arabia.
This is in view of the firm belief that, praying in the mosque has a huge reward which is equal to performing an Umrah, otherwise known as lesser Hajj.
The pilgrims according to sources will also visit other historical sites around Madina before proceeding to the Holy city of Mecca for the hajj proper.
The performance of Haji is one of the five pillars of Islam made mandatory for muslims who have the means and are in good health condition to do embark on it.
