The Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG) Young Adults and Youth Affairs, Kogi Province 3 has eased the difficulty facing operators of Kekenapep in Lokoja by giving 200 of them free fuel, irrespective of religious inclination.
Pastor David Akosile,the Regional Youth Evangelist, Region 24,in his remarks at Nice Mohamed Petroleum Company(NNPC), Lokoja, kogi state said the gesture was part of activities marking the 2022 Youth Convention of Kogi Province 3 of the church.
Pastor Akosile, however, told the operators to see their present situation as the least it could ever be and urged them to embrace Jsus Christ as their Lord and personal saviour.
He urged the operators to see Jesus Christ as a source of fuelling that never gets dry, adding that he is also the way of moving them out of their predicaments.
The cleric also advised the operators that in all situations, they should “clap, Praise, bow for God,” describing “God as the fuel that cannot finish in the lives of men.”
Pastor Akosile further called on the operators to allow Jesus Christ to serve as the “fuel that cannot be exhausted to come into their lives,”
The religious leader assured them that accepting Jesus Christ as their lord and personal saviour remained the only opportunity to enjoy a seamless way of life.
The Regional Evangelist, prayed God to give the operators favour, divine blessings and protection.
Also Speaking at the occasion, Mohamed M. Ibrahim, Lokoja branch 2 Chairman of TOAN, described the gesture by RCCG, Kogi Province 3 Young Adults and Youth Affairs as unprecedented and urged other organizations to emulate the good deeds of the church.
Similarly, the Secretary
Lokoja branch 2 of TOAN, Soladoye Ibrahim, expressed appreciation to the church,noting that the hand of fellowship shown by it benefitted both the Muslims and Christians who are Keke and Okada Operators.
Highlights of the programme was Ministration of the word, alter call for the operators to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal saviour.
Meanwhile,our Correspondent reports that the scarcity of fuel persisted on Thursday with long queue of vehicles in few filling stations that dispensed the product to the public.
In all the filling stations our Correspondent visited, none sold the product less than N180 per litre instead of the official price of N165 per litre.
As s result, intra and inter transport fares have gone up astronomically while food stuff and social services followed.
