Police nab suspected one chance criminals in kwara

The Police Command in Kwara state says it has arrested three suspected members of one chance group operating in taxi cab and duping unsuspected members of the public in Ilorin, the state capital.

SP Okasami Ajayi,the Police Public Relations Officer( PPRO) for the Police Command in the state, disclosed this in a statement he released to Journalists in Ilorin on Wednesday.

He said:”At about 3:40 p.m, information was received about the presence of a commercial taxi cab with three occupants suspected to be robbers with a lady around Kwara Hotel in Ilorin.

” The Commissioner of Police, CP Tuesday Assayomo immideately dispatched a team of policemen to the scene.

“The three suspects named Adebayo Akeem m 40yrs 2. Akintola Abdulahi m 38yrs and 3. Muyiwa Obaseki ‘m’ 33yrs,who came to Ilorin from Ibadan Oyo State to perpetrate their criminal activities,were arrested with their victim by name Omoedemi Ayoleyi..

“The victim stated that she had earlier been swindled of the sum of #38,000:00 and a gold hear ring valued #50,000:00.

According to the PPRO, the suspects were arrested, adding that their operational vehicle, a MAZDA 323 Kwara State Taxi colour saloon car with Reg. number LRN 204 YK, was impounded for the alleged crime.

He said investigation into the matter had commenced in accordance with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Tuesday Assayomo.

“Consequently, the Commissioner of Police wishes to advise members of the public to be super-conscious of their environment, the vehicles they board while traveling and who they share their personal vital informations with,” he added.
