Magongo Developmnt Association Commends KGSG, Ogori Magongo LGA for security exploits

The National President, Magongo Developmnt Association,(MDA), Prince Jordan Akpata, has commended the Kogi State Government for its efforts in reduce crime and criminality in the state to the barest minimum.

Akpata,who gave the commendation in an interview with the Correspondent of The Reporters in Lokoja on Saturday,said such exploit had placed the state as one the safest states in the country, in terms of security.

The national president also gave kudos to the governor for the security strive of his administration to ensure the people of the area sleep with their two eyes closed and travelers transiting the area do so with ease.

He noted with delight the effort of the local government in crushing criminal elements along Ageva-Ogori-Magongo road, through the combined team of other security agencies.

According to him, the local government has also mapped out strategies aimed at empowering youths, enrolling them in information, communication and technology (ICT) programne and purchase machine and other materials for them, to discourage them from indulging in crime.

He also told the online publication that the council had security post on the highway in the area and supplied necessary equipment for security personnel on regular basis to boost their their efforts.

” The council has also embarked on supervision the security personnel and monitoring of criminal activities on the highway in the area on 24-hour to ensure the safety of travellers.

“The association also notes the combined efforts of the state vigilante and professional hunters and Dagana security, outfit whose complementary role toward dousing security challenges cannot be ignored.

“The joint meeting between all the security stakeholders such as traditional rulers and religious bodies,done on regular basis,has gone along way in registering huge success in the fight against criminals in the area.

“Within few months in office, he was able to stamp his feet firm as far as security achievement is concerned.

“He redesigned the security architecture of the local government Area, dislodged several kidnapping operations with the help of other Security agencies, provided vehicles, funds and other logistics to the security agencies in the area to prevent crime,” he said.
