The battle against insurgents and other criminal elements in some states of the federation and the need to win the war,has received the boost with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), taking delivery of the first batch of six A-29 Super Tucano aircraft from the U.S.
The Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet,who made the announcement in a statement in Abuja on Thursday, said the aircraft arrived Kano, at about 12.34 p.m.
According to the NAF image maker, the Minister of Defence, Major.-Gen. Bashir Magashi (rtd), the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.- Gen. Faruk Yahaya and the Chief of Air Staf (CAS) and Air Marshal Oladayo Amao among others were didnitaries that received the aircraft.
