Tough time awaits ram thieves in
Kogi state as the Police Command in the state has embarked on preventive measures to bring the culprits to book and stem further occurrence, according to its Commissioner, Ayuba Edeh.
Edeh disclosed this in an interview with the the press recently in Lokoja while reacting to media reports indicating increase in ram rampart in Lokoja, the state capital.
The Commissioner said he had directed all the stations of the command through out the state to swing into action to ensure that the negative development is arrested.
The police boss, who said that no formal complaints have been received by the Command, however, disclosed that since the issue had come his knowledge,drastic action would be taken against such criminals.
The online publication recalls that some residents of 200 housing units in Lokoja had complained that many of the rams they bought, for the celebration of Eid-el-kabir, had been stolen and called on security agencies in the state to come to their rescue.
