ABU Alumni, Kogi Branch, Names 10-Member Delegation for 18th Annual General Assembly in Zaria

The Kogi State branch of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Alumni Association has named a ten-member delegation to represent it at the institution’s 18th Annual General Assembly (AGA) and Homecoming scheduled to hold in Zaria from Thursday, November 27 to Saturday, November 29, 2025.

This decision followed an online meeting of the association held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 in Lokoja.

According to a statement signed by the Branch Secretary, Mr. Yahaya Aminu Maihankuri, in Lokoja November 10,2025,the delegation comprises members of the association,drawn from different professional backgrounds.

Those selected include Engr. Abdulsalam Muhammed Sagir, the chairman,Hon. Garba Bako, the deputy chairman,Dr. Abdulsalam Bawa Dangana, Alhaji Abdullazeez Onubaiye, Mrs. Rakiyat Ladidi Ali, Mal. Isiaka Wokili Usman, Alhaji Ibrahim Kenchi, Mrs. Hadiza Haruna Abdullahi, Abdulmalik Okura Abass, and Mr. Yahaya Aminu Maihankuri.

Maihankuri disclosed that the team would depart for Zaria on Friday, November 28, and return to Lokoja on Sunday, November 30.

Our correspondent reports that the annual assembly, which brings together ABU alumni from across Nigeria and beyond, is aimed at strengthening ties among graduates, discussing developmental issues, and contributing to the growth of the university.

The secretary expressed optimism that the Kogi delegation would make the branch proud and ensure robust participation in the deliberations.

“On behalf of the executive, I thank all members for their support and pray for a safe journey to and from Zaria,” Maihankuri said.
