The new Onobobanyin Anegbira in Lokoja, His Royal Highness Mohammed Ogirima Otue, has commended the Kogi Central Think Tank Forum (KCTTF) for its remarkable contributions to peace and development in Kogi Central and the state at large.

The royal father made the commendation on Wednesday during a “thank-you visit” to the Forum’s headquarters in Lokoja, where he expressed appreciation for the group’s support and its role in his emergence as a traditional ruler.

Describing the KCTTF as a formidable organization made up of men and women of proven integrity, the Onobobanyin lauded the Forum for its commitment to promoting unity, peace, and the welfare of the Egbira people. He called for continued collaboration between the traditional institution and the Forum to ensure that his reign brings meaningful progress and harmony to the community.

While noting that his appointment came as a surprise, the monarch pledged to carry other traditional title holders along in fostering peace and development among the Egbiras in Lokoja.

In his response, the Chairman of the Forum, Dr. Haroun Opotu Yussuff, congratulated the royal father on his appointment and urged him to justify the confidence reposed in him. He assured the monarch of the Forum’s full cooperation and support in promoting stability and development in Egbiraland.

Also speaking, an elder of the Forum, Adai Moses Onivehu, advised the Onobobanyin to work closely with other title holders to discharge their duties effectively. He further urged the royal father to address the growing concern over the indiscriminate outings of Egbira masquerades in Lokoja to safeguard peace in the area.

Our correspondent reports that members of the Forum reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining peace and unity in Egbiraland. They also called on political stakeholders to initiate reconciliation efforts between Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and former Governor Yahaya Bello in the interest of political stability and economic development.

The meeting expressed concern over the high rate of poverty in Egbiraland and urged political leaders, especially those in government, to unite and attract developmental projects that would reduce hardship and improve the living conditions of the people.
