The management of Houses for Africa Nigeria Ltd has confirmed that it duly authorised the filing of a lawsuit against the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) over the recent demolition of structures at River Park Estate, Abuja, allegedly ordered by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
The company, in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja, said the clarification became necessary following a claim by Mr. Kojo Mensah, who alleged that he did not authorise the suit filed by Chief Anthony A. Maliki (SAN).
Houses for Africa described Mensah’s claim as false, stressing that he lacked the authority to issue disclaimers on behalf of the firm.
According to the statement, Houses for Africa not only authorised Maliki but also empowered Oluwabunmi Adebiyi, Esq. to represent the company in the matter against the FCT Minister over the “unlawful demolitions.”
The firm advised the public against conducting any transactions with Mensah and his associates in relation to River Park Estate, Houses for Africa Ltd, or Jonahcapital Nigeria Ltd pending the outcome of the criminal proceedings.
