The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Alumni Association, Kogi State branch,has honoured its chairman, Engr. Mohammed Sagir with a special souvenir in recognition of his recent traditional title of Tafarki Lokoja,bestowed on him by the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness,Dr, Ibrahim Gambo Maikarfi in lokoja,his service and dedication to the association.
Presenting the souvenir to the new Tafarki Lokoja, the Vice Chairman of the association in the state,Comrade Garba Bako, described the gesture as a token of appreciation of the quality leadership responsibilities being displayed by the chairman
He commended the chairman for his commitment to the ideals of ABU and his efforts in strengthening the bonds among alumni members across the state,describing him as a leader who has consistently upheld the values of service, unity, and excellence thereby propelling the development of the branch.
Bako urged the chairman to sustain the momentum already established, particularly in piloting the affairs of the branch in a manner that would continue to inspire confidence and solidarity among members, adding that Sagir’s leadership has brought renewed energy and purpose to the state branch of the association.
In his response, the chairman thanked members for the honour and recognition, describing it as a call to greater service assuring the branch of his unwavering commitment to sustaining the legacy of ABU alumni and working for the collective interest of members and the university community at large.
