Tafakin Lakwaja, Expresses Gratitude, Vows to Promote Community Growth

The newly turbaned Tafakin Lakwaja, Engr. Mohammed Abdulsalam Sagir, has expressed profound gratitude to family, friends, colleagues, members of ABU Alumni Association in kogi state and well-wishers who graced his turbaning ceremony in Lokoja, pledging to dedicate himself to the growth and development of the community.

The Lokoja traditional title holder stated this in his letter of appreciation,a copy of which is available to The Reporters in Lokoja on Wednesday.

Sagir, who is the Chairman, Kogi State branch of Ahmadu Bello Alumni Association and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, in the State, described the occasion as not just a personal milestone, but also a celebration of unity and the rich cultural heritage that binds the people together.

He noted that the overwhelming show of love and encouragement at the ceremony reminded him of the strength of collective spirit and the importance of sustaining values that promote peace, culture, and communal progress.

“I am deeply humbled by the outpouring of kindness and goodwill that enveloped me on this special day. Each smile, each word of encouragement, and every gesture of support has touched my heart,” he said.

The new Tafakin Lakwaja assured the community of his commitment to uphold its values and traditions while working tirelessly for its progress. He stressed that the honor bestowed on him would serve as a motivation to remain steadfast in service to humanity.

“Together, we will continue to celebrate our rich heritage while forging a path toward a bright future. May our unity and love for one another guide us in all our endeavors,” he added.

Out correspondent reports that the turbaning ceremony, held under the auspices of the Maigari of Lokoja, Dr. Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV, drew dignitaries, community leaders, associates, and well-wishers from across the state.
