VP Shettima in Okene to Condole with Governor Ododo

Vice President Kashim Shettima signing condolence register at the residence of the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in Okene while the governor in white outfit and others watched.

The Vice President exchanging pleasantry with the Deputy Governor of the state,Com.Joel Oyibo while Governor Ododo and former governor Yahaya Bello watched.

Speaking at the occasion, the Vice President Kashim Shettima said he and his entourage were in Okene to stand in solidarity with the Ododo family and the people of Kogi State over the passing of the governor’s father.

He described the late Alhaji Momohsani Ododo as a respected community leader, philanthropist, and bridge builder who devoted his life not only to his children but also to the service of his community.

Senator Shettima further extolled Governor Ododo as a worthy son of the deceased, noting that he has continued to demonstrate exemplary leadership and uncommon humility.

He prayed Almighty Allah to grant the departed eternal rest, reward him with Aljanah Firdaus, and grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The Vice President, who commended the prevailing peace in Kogi State, stressed the need for peace to reign supreme across the country, emphasizing that no meaningful development can take place without peace.

While addressing newsmen, the Vice President described the late Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani as “a man of deep faith and remarkable humility, whose life of service to God and humanity is evident in the leadership qualities of his son, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.”

He urged the Governor and the Ododo family to take solace in the fact that their father lived a fulfilled life, leaving behind enduring legacies of discipline, truthfulness, and compassion.

In his response, Governor Ododo expressed deep appreciation to the Vice President for personally visiting despite his tight schedule, noting that the gesture was not only a show of solidarity with his family but also a demonstration of the Vice President’s commitment to unity and compassion.

Our correspondent reports that the Vice President was accompanied by Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State,underscoring the high regard the late Alhaji Momoh Sani Ododo was held across the nation.
The Reporters recalls that, Alhaji Momohsani Ododo died in Abuja on Monday,aged 83.
