The Vice-Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, has commiserated with the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, over the passing of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, who died on Monday in Abuja,aged 83.
In a condolence message issued on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, on behalf of the university’s Governing Council, Management, Staff, and Students, and a copy available to The Reporters on Wednesday,Prof. Salawu described the late octogenarian as a devoted community leader.
According to him,the deceased was also a beacon of wisdom, and a man of integrity whose life left an enduring impact on his family and society.
“The loss of a parent is a profound and deeply personal sorrow, and we share in your grief during this difficult moment. Your father was a pillar of strength and guidance, and his legacy of service and dedication will continue to inspire generations,”the Vice-Chancellor stated.
Prof. Salawu prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant Governor Ododo and his family the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss and to bestow divine mercy upon the departed soul.
“May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and comfort the family he left behind,” he added.
