Kogi Poly Rector Commiserates with Governor Ododo Over Father’s Death

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, has commiserated with the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, over the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, who passed away at the age of 83.

In a condolence message he issued on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Academic Board, staff, and students of the institution in Lokoja on Monday, and a copy available to The Reporters,Prof. Usman described the late patriarch as a devout Muslim.

He also described the deceased as a community leader, and a man who lived a fulfilled and impactful life anchored on service to Allah, dedication to his family, and contributions to humanity.

“The news of Baba’s passing is indeed a painful one to us all. But we take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled and impactful life; a life anchored on devotion to the service of Allah (SWT), and commitment to the well-being of his family, and community,” the statement read.

The Rector prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.

He also prayed for strength and comfort for Governor Ododo, the Ododo family, and the people of Kogi State to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

“May the memory of our dear patriarch remain a blessing to all,” he prayed.
