Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi state has urged participants at the ongoing capacity-building workshop for World Bank Project Implementation Units (PIUs) in the State to apply the knowledge and skills gained to overcome implementation challenges and ensure timely delivery of projects.
Speaking through his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu, at the event held in Lokoja, Governor Ododo emphasized the importance of using modern digital tools to promote transparency, accountability, and collaboration in project execution.
He stressed that all projects must contribute meaningfully to the prosperity and sustainable development of Kogi State.
The governor also commended State Accountant General, who doubles as the State Portfolio Focal Person, and the consulting firm, Trendtech, for their initiative and effective partnership in facilitating the training.
He acknowledged their commitment to strengthening the institutional capacity of the PIUs through this four-month program designed to introduce real-time monitoring dashboards and performance tools.
