Remains of Former President Buhari Will Be Laid To Rest in Daura on Monday

Arrangements have been concluded to bury Former President Muhammadu Buhari in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.

Former President Muhammadu Buhari will be buried on Monday in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.

According to reports, his body will be laid to rest on Monday, in line with Islamic rites.

Buhari passed away at a clinic in London, where he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness, at 4:30 pm on Sunday.

His former media spokesman, Garba Shehu, disclosed this via X on Sunday.

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu, who mourned the passing of his predecessor, has dispatched Vice President Kashim Shettima to London.

Tinubu directed Shettima to accompany Buhari’s corpse back to Nigeria for burial.
