The Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS) has achieved 61.53% of its 2025 revenue target as of the end of June, The Reporters has gathered.
This was disclosed in a statement obtained by our correspondent from the Corporate Affairs Unit of KGIRS in Lokoja on Thursday.
According to the statement, the Service which was tasked by the state government to generate ₦32 billion for the 2025 fiscal year, has so far generated ₦19,688,168,814.46.
KGIRS is led by Alhaji Salihu Sule Enehe, an accomplished tax administrator, particularly renowned in Kogi State and the North Central region of Nigeria.
The Service has expressed its commitment to surpassing the 2025 revenue target through the full digitalization of tax processes, aimed at enhancing compliance seamlessly and with minimal effort from taxpayers.
