The only known survivor of the tragic London-bound passenger plane that crashed on Thursday in India’s western city of Ahmedabad, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, has shared his frightening experience.

The London-bound Air India flight crashed just minutes after taking off from Ahmedabad on Thursday.

The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner had 242 passengers and crew members on board.

So far, at least 260 people have been confirmed dead.

Vishwash, a 40-year-old British citizen, was returning to the UK after visiting his family in India.

He was flying with his brother, Ajay Kumar Ramesh, 45.

Speaking from his hospital bed in Ahmedabad, Vishwash told the Hindustan Times, “Thirty seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly.

“When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran through the Wreckage. There were pieces of the plane all around me.

“Someone grabbed hold of me and put me in an ambulance and brought me to the hospital.”

The London-bound passenger plane crashed on June 12 in India’s western city of Ahmedabad with 242 on board and some crew members.
