The Office of the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor of Kogi State has launched the inaugural edition of the Lugard House Monthly, a new publication aimed at broadening the dissemination of government policies, projects, and programmes.

This development was disclosed in a statement issued in Lokoja by Hon. Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser on Media to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. A copy of the statement was made available to The Reporters on Thursday.

According to the statement, the newsletter is designed to serve as a comprehensive and accessible platform for informing the public about the activities of the state government, particularly under the leadership of Governor Ododo.

The maiden edition covers the month of May 2025 and highlights key achievements and engagements of the administration during that period.

Hon. Isah noted that the initiative is part of a broader effort to deepen public awareness and media engagement on governance issues in Kogi State.

The publication follows the successful launch of the Kogi Annual Media Report in April 2025, which received widespread commendation for its detailed reporting on government activities.

Describing the Lugard House Monthly as a “portable directory” of the Governor’s engagements, the media adviser said the newsletter is expected to complement other communication tools in projecting the administration’s strides in infrastructure, health, education, security, and other critical sectors.

“This monthly publication is another milestone in our efforts to create accessible, transparent, and citizen-focused communication.

“It serves not only as a record of progress but also as a valuable reference for media professionals, researchers, and members of the public interested in the development journey of Kogi State,” the statement added.

The Special Adviser reaffirmed the commitment of the media office to continually innovate in delivering timely and accurate information that reflects the realities and aspirations of the people of Kogi State.

Governor Ododo’s administration has been widely commended for its developmental initiatives and inclusive approach to governance.

The new publication is expected to further strengthen public trust and participation by showcasing impactful governance in action.
