Retired Navy Captain Omoniyi Caleb Olubolade, a former Minister of Police Affairs during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, has passed away.

He died on May 11, 2025, in Lagos after collapsing while playing a game of lawn tennis.

Born on November 30, 1954, in Ipoti-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Olubolade was 70 years old.

A seasoned military officer and statesman, Olubolade served as the third Military Governor of Bayelsa State from June 27, 1997, to July 9, 1998.
