It was a day of glamour, grace, and unforgettable moments as Hope Ademu and her sweetheart, David sealed their love in a spectacular wedding ceremony that lit up the city of Lokoja.
The blushing bride, Hope, daughter of the esteemed Mr. Bartholomew Ademu, retired Executive Director,News and Current Affairs, Radio Kogi, and her dashing groom, David, exchanged vows in a heartfelt Catholic Mass at Arch Angels Catholic Church.
Our correspondent reports that the ceremony, officiated by Rev. Fr. Bernard Ologunnagba, was filled with spiritual reflection, laughter, and the occasional happy tear.
Quoting Sirach 26:1-4, 13-16, the priest spoke passionately about the sacredness of marriage, calling it a “holy mystery” and a divine reflection of Christ’s enduring love.
But the celebration didn’t end at the altar.
The real party kicked off at an elegant events center in Peace Community, Lokoja, where friends, family, and VIPs from all walks of life gathered to toast the couple. It was a dazzling reception, complete with heartfelt speeches, electrifying music, and a dance floor that didn’t rest all night.
The guest list read like a who’s who of Kogi State’s finest, including Alhaji Suleman Ibrahim, DG of Protocol at the Government House; Chief Donatus Okpe, former MD of Graphic Newspaper; and an array of top government officials, agency heads, and media veterans like Mr. Wada Akpa and Comrade Ali Atabor, former NUJ Chairman.
From glitzy outfits to gourmet meals, heartfelt blessings to thunderous ovations, the entire day was a blend of tradition, class, and deep affection.
The father of the bride, Mr. Bartholomew Ademu, beaming with pride and thanked,guests warmly for making the day a memorable one.
As Hope and David shared their first dance as husband and wife, surrounded by love and cheers, it was clear that this is a union built to last.
