The Ebira Avaibe Association,EAA, has applauded the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his statesmanlike approach in addressing the recent political tension between Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan at the Senate.

Our correspondent recalls that the Akpabio-Natasha political crisis led to an attempt by Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan’s constituents to recall her but their efforts could not meet INEC guideline.

The Chairman of the association, Alhaji Musa Akaba, gave the commendation during the group’s weekly meeting held in Anebo Housing Estate,Lokoja on Sunday.

He noted that the governor’s timely and tactful intervention helped to douse rising political tempers that could have snowballed into a major crisis in the district

Alhaji Akaba,a one time member , kogi State House of Assembly (Ajaokuta State Constituency),expressed disappointment over the way some political actors in Kogi Central handled the situation, warning that their actions could have deepened division among the people, if not for Governor Ododo’s timely intervention.

He urged politicians and community members in the central district of the state to emulate the governor’s peaceful disposition and continue to pray for unity, peace, and progress in Ebiraland and across the state.
