Hajia Hashiya Ahmed,acting Chairperson,Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, has warned the staff of the board to shun indiscipline and other negative acts in the discharging of their official responsibilities.
Hajia Ahmed gave the warning in Lafia,while addressing the management and staff of the Board, on the new journey of transformation in the management of the board.
” Let me make it abundantly clear that acts of indiscipline, late coming to work and early closure, absenteeism and loitering or forming alliance and camps with the Board will not be tolerated,she said
The Acting Chairperson ,who reminded the staff that such negative activities undermine the collective goal of delivering quality basic education in the state, advised every member of the board to remain professional and committed to their duties.
The acting Chairperson,who is Jagaban Matan kokona, said the purpose of the outing is to provide an opportunity to oversee the examination process in the public primary schools and to encourage teachers and pupils.
According to her, the exercise is also to identify any areas of improvement and provide feedback to the authority, adding that the team would also monitor the halls of the examination,officials and invigilators.
“It is also believed that the team’s reports will help the board in its efforts to devise and implement better ways of improving primary education in Nasarawa State in the new millennium,” she added.
She said that the board has concluded a week -long examination monitoring exercise of primary schools in the state.
Hajia Ahmed said the monitoring will commence on Monday, March 24, 2025 with the following Local Government and Development Education Authorities: Doma, Jenkwe, Keana others to include Giza, Obi and Lafia.
