Again, articulated road crash on Felele road in Lokoja

The scene of another road accident on Felele Road on Monday.

Exactly one week after a tragic road accident claimed the lives of five Federal University, Lokoja students, Felele Road in Lokoja,Kogi State saw another similar incident on Monday.

According to our correspondent, the latest accident involved an articulated vehicle carrying tiles, which reportedly lost control and flipped over.

Fortunately, unlike last week’s tragic event, no casualties were reported this time.

Meanwhile, Federal University, Lokoja, remains closed indefinitely due to the ongoing concerns raised by students following the recent spate of accidents on Felele road.

Concerned members of the public who spoke with our correspondent have called on the federal government to take urgent action to address the growing safety issues along the road.

This incident comes just two years after another articulated vehicle accident on Felele Road claimed the lives of 22 people, including some students from Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, in the same area.
