Alhaji Adamu Mamnan Kontagora, the President of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Alumni Association, Worldwide, has confirmed his attendance at the 24th Inaugural Lecture of the Federal University, Lokoja (FUL), Kogi State, on February 26, 2025.
Our correspondent gathered that the event promises to be a remarkable gathering, bringing together academic scholars, alumni, and students to explore groundbreaking ideas in the world of higher education.
In an exclusive phone interview with our correspondent from Port Harcourt on Friday, Alhaji Kotangora expressed his excitement about attending the lecture, emphasizing its significance as a critical intellectual event.
“I am thrilled to be part of this lecture. “The lecture topic, ‘Unraveling the Tapestry of Non-classical Set Theory: Navigating Novel Paths in Understanding Life’s Complexities,’ is both timely and essential in advancing how we understand complex issues in various scientific fields,”he said.
The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Professor Musa Adeku Ibrahim, a distinguished academic and fellow alumnus of ABU, Zaria.
The two high personalities were coursemates at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where they both graduated with degrees in Mathematics.
Alhaji Kontagora’s connection to the event goes beyond the academic – it is a reunion of minds that began many years ago on the ABU campus.
He said while the inaugural lecture remains a primary focus of his visit,he also sees it as an important opportunity to engage with the local alumni community.
Alhaji Kontagora expressed his eagerness to meet with members of the ABU Alumni Association, Kogi State Branch, to discuss the future of the association and how it can contribute to the development of the state.
“I am looking forward to engaging with our Kogi State members, sharing ideas, and strengthening our collective vision for the future,” he said.
In a chat with our correspondent at his office on Friday, Engr. Mohammed Sagir, the Chairman of the ABU Alumni Kogi State Branch, who is also the Permanent Secretary of the Kogi State Ministry of Agriculture, also expressed excitement about Kotangora’s planned visit.
“We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our President, World Wide. His visit is a golden opportunity for us to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the growth of our association and its impact on the state,” said Engr. Sagir.
He called on branch members to turn up en masse to receive the president of the association.
This visit is set to further reinforce the bonds between ABU alumni and highlight the association’s ongoing commitment to fostering academic excellence and community development.
