EPA Celebrates Appointment of New Odeyani Anegbira of Lokoja

The Ebira Peoples Association (EPA), Lokoja branch, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed Odeyani Anegbira of Lokoja, Alhaji Daudu Abdulkareem Salawu Obeito.

The association’s congratulatory message, delivered by the Chapter Chairman, Comrade Moses Momoh, and a copy made available to The Reporters in Lokoja on Monday,follows the approval of Obeito’s appointment by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo last week.

The appointment letter for the new traditional ruler, signed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Salami Momoh Ozigi Deedat, marks a significant milestone for the Ebira community.

The ceremony was witnessed by key stakeholders from Lokoja’s Ebira community, who gathered at the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Lokoja for the formal handover.

Comrade Momoh assured that the members of the EPA Lokoja Chapter would remain steadfast in their support and loyalty to the new Odeyani Anegbira’s administration, offering their wishes for his good health and long reign.

The association also expressed gratitude to the Ohinoyi of Ebira Land, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Anaje, the Lokoja-Kotokarfe Area Traditional Council under His Royal Majesty Alhaji Sheidu Akao, the Ohimege Igu of Kotonkarfi Kingdom.

The association also praised the Lokoja Traditional Council under His Royal Highness, The Maigari of Lokoja,Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV, for their leadership and contributions throughout the process of selecting the new Odeyani Anegbira of Lokoja.

The EPA branch also commended the peaceful conduct of the Ebira community in Lokoja during the selection process and encouraged continued unity and collaboration under the leadership of the new Odeyani Anegbira.

The association urged the community to extend their full support and cooperation to the new traditional ruler.
