The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), KOGI State Chapter, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS) to foster a stronger working relationship between the two bodies.
According to the PASAN Chairman, Mr. Omotola Ayodele, the visit aimed to facilitate seamless collaboration and seek synergy in their working relationship. The Chairman noted that as the engine room of the legislative assembly, PASAN had previously been overlooked by most government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the State, not until recently.
The Vice Chairman of PASAN, Comrade Mamodu Ojonugwa, echoed the Chairman’s sentiments while the Secretary, Idowu O. Aliyu, requested that KGIRS prioritises Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The Secretary further commended the Executive Chairman and his Management team for their efforts in boosting the State’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and pledged PASAN’s support in addressing legislative challenges related to taxation.
In response, the Executive Chairman of Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS), Alhaji Sule Salihu Enehe, ably represented by the Service’s Director of Income Tax, Mr. Emmanuel Yusufu, expressed gratitude to the PASAN executive Council for their visit, and promised to collaborate with the association within the scope of the revenue body.
