Omala Assembly Member Visits Family of Late Salome Adaidu, Assures of Justice

The Member Representing Omala State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Umar Yahaya, has assured the family of the late Salome Adaidu of justice .

Our correspondent recalls that Salome was tragically murdered ,by one Timileyin Ajayi in Nasarawa State last week.

The late Salome Adaidu, a native of Omala Local Government Area in Kogi State, was a serving corps member with Nicon Insurance in Abuja.

Hon. Umar gave this assurance during a condolence visit to the family of Salome Adaidu, allegedly killed by Timileyin Ajayi last weekend in Nasarawa State.

Hon. Umar, who met with the grandmother, mother, uncles, sisters, and other family members of the deceased, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of a promising young woman whose life was abruptly cut short.

He reassured the family that the Kogi State Government has already taken up the matter and is working to ensure that justice is served, adding that no stone would be left unturned in bringing those responsible to book.

The lawmaker expressed his condolences to the grieving family, describing the loss as a significant tragedy not only for the family but also for the people of Omala Local Government Area and Kogi State as a whole.

Meanwhile, the accused, a gospel singer, has been arraigned before Justice Aboki of the High Court for Lafia, Nasarawa State who adjourned the case to January 27,2025.

Late Salome was an NYSC member serving with Nicon before her tragic death in the hands of the accused who confessed to the crime saying that he has no regrets committing the heinous crime against humanity.

Meanwhile, the accused, a gospel singer, was arraigned before Justice Aboki of the High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State. The case was adjourned on January 27, 2025.

The late Salome Adaidu, an NYSC member serving with Nicon, tragically lost her life at the hands of the accused, who confessed to the crime, stating he had no regrets committing such a heinous act against humanity.

Last weekend, Timileyin Ajayi allegedly killed Salome Adaidu and dismembered her body.
