The Police Command in Ogun State has confirmed that a late-night collision at Abule Ojo Junction near Alagbole left three people injured.

The crash, involving a Lexus Jeep with registration number KTU 287 JS and an unregistered motorcycle, occurred around 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

CSP Omolola Odutola, the Command’s spokesperson, revealed in a statement on Friday that the incident was caused by reckless driving.

According to Odutola, the Divisional Police Officer of Ajuwon Division received reports from the public about the accident.

The Lexus Jeep, traveling from Akute toward Alagbole, collided with the motorcycle, leaving its rider and two passengers with severe injuries.

“The victims were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. However, the driver of the Lexus fled the scene,” she stated.

She added that Police officers, in collaboration with Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO), had cleared the wreckage from the road, adding that investigations are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing driver and ensure justice for the injured victims.
