Governor in North Central Nigeria loses Top Aide.

The Chief of Staff to the Kwara State Governor, Prince Abdulkadir Mahe,is dead.

The announcement came on Saturday through a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye.

The statement noted that Prince Mahe passed away in “total submission to the will of Allah.”

He will be buried today at his residence on Moro Street, Adewole Estate, Ilorin, following the Asr prayer.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in his condolence message,described the deceased as “a perfect gentleman, community leader, urbane public servant, and statesman.”

He expressed condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the bereaved family, and the state cabinet.

The Governor said: “We ask for the understanding of everyone during this mournful period as the government and family grieve the quintessential public servant. We pray that Allah accepts his return, eases his accounts, admits him to Al-Jannah Firdaus, and upholds his family upon goodness.”

Prince Mahe, renowned for his commitment to the development of Kwara State, leaves behind a legacy of selfless service and outstanding leadership.

Meanwhile,the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Prince Mohammed Mahe AbdulKadir.

In a statement issued through his spokesperson, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir remarked: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un, I receive the demise of Prince Mahe AbdulKadir with rude shock and surprise.”

Describing the late Chief of Staff as a committed member of the Alimi dynasty and an exemplary administrator, the Emir stated: “A colossal loss has befallen us in the Ilorin Emirate.”

The royal father extended heartfelt condolences to the widow, children, friends, and associates of the deceased, as well as to the people and government of Kwara State, particularly Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON.

He prayed for divine mercy upon the soul of the late AbdulKadir, saying: “May Allah reward his good deeds with Al-Jannatul Firdaus.”

Alhaji Mohammed Mahe AbdulKadir was widely regarded as a pillar of support in the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service to Kwara State.
