Tinubu Nominates Ex-Kogi Dep.Gov. Others for South East Development Commission Leadership.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward David Onoja, as a member of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) Governing Board.

This is part of a revised list of nominees sent to the Senate for confirmation, reflecting Tinubu’s commitment to regional development.

Emeka Atuma is set to chair the South East Development Commission Governing Board, while Hon. Mark C. Okoye has been appointed as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the SEDC.

Other nominees include Barr. Ugochukwu H. Agballah, Hon. Okey Ezenwa, Chief Hyacinth Ikpor, Hon. Donatus Eyinnah Nwankpa, Barr. Ifeanyi Agwu (Ph.D), Edward David Onoja, Orure Kufre Inima, and Chief (Mrs.) Joke Adebayo-Chukwuma.

In addition, Prince Obinna Obiekweihe has been nominated as Executive Director (Projects), Sen. Anthony O. Agbo as Executive Director (Finance and Administration), and Dr. Daniel Ikechukwu Ugwuja as Executive Director (Corporate Services).

The nominations were disclosed in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

Bayo quoted President Tinubu as emphasizing the importance of the commissions in fostering regional development and called on the nominees to bring their expertise to bear in fulfilling their mandates.
