This occasion is a pivotal milestone, not only for Okengwe and Egbira land but for Kogi State as a whole, uniting us in our goals, values, and aspirations.

Offering Gratitude and Seeking Divine Guidance

Our foremost duty today is to express our heartfelt gratitude to Almighty God, whose boundless blessings have brought us to this moment. We gather here, unified by faith, grateful for the progress we have achieved, and hopeful for the future we envision. Let us also humbly seek God’s continued guidance for our leaders as they carry forward the dreams and aspirations of our people with courage and integrity. Today’s event is thus both a celebration and a prayer—an acknowledgment of our achievements and a call for further blessings upon our community.

Such collaboration ensures an Ebira community built on solidarity, mutual progress, and support. United, we recognize that the success of one is the success of all, setting the foundation for a resilient and thriving Okengwe and Egbiraland for generations to come.

A Call for Continued Good Governance and Development

Today’s gathering serves as a powerful testament to the trust our people have placed in their leaders. It is a reminder of the responsibility to lead not just with vision, but with transparency, accountability, and a resolute commitment to the people’s welfare. To our leaders, we implore you to continue embodying the principles of good governance, ensuring that each decision upholds the best interests of the people. Let us all remember that good governance is the cornerstone of enduring peace, prosperity, and unity.

Honoring Our Past and Inspiring Our Future

Our purpose today is not only to celebrate our current achievements but also to honor the dedication of those who have tirelessly served this community. The leaders, elders, and community members who have contributed to the advancement of Okengwe have left a legacy of progress and commitment. Their contributions form a roadmap for our future—a future we must embrace with renewed energy, optimism, and a shared commitment to advancing the well-being of Okengwe-Ehi and Kogi State.
