The Jos Electricity Distribution (JED) Company has assured customers in Benue and other franchise states that normal power supply will soon be restored, following an unexpected outage on Tuesday afternoon.

In a statement, Dr. Friday Adakole Elijah, Head of Corporate Communications at JED, confirmed that power was lost across all feeders at 1:52 p.m., but emphasized that normal service would resume shortly.

“The outage affecting our franchise states is due to a disruption in supply from the national grid,” Elijah explained. “The interruption occurred at approximately 1:52 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, leading to a loss of supply across all our feeders.”

He further assured customers, saying, “We are working to restore power as soon as the grid supply normalizes. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.”
