Niger Tornadoes Break the Jinx with Thrilling Home Victory Over Shooting Stars.

The atmosphere at Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium in Minna, Niger State on Sunday,was electric as the Niger Tornadoes celebrated a long-awaited home victory, defeating the Shooting Stars of Ibadan 2-0.

After enduring four frustrating draws, the Ikon Allah Boys finally found their rhythm, much to the delight of their passionate fans.

The goals came in crucial moments: the first struck 32 minutes into the match, followed by another less than 10 minutes before the final whistle. This victory not only marked a turning point for the Tornadoes but also sent the visiting Shooting Stars home empty-handed.

Head coach Majin Mohammed praised the team’s collective effort in securing the win. “I’m thrilled with this result,” he said. “It reflects the hard work and commitment from everyone. I want to thank our fans for their patience and unwavering support.”

Despite a rocky stretch of four winless matches—including two draws at home—the Tornadoes showcased their determination and skill. With this victory, they aim to build momentum, focusing on securing more wins at home to bolster their standing in the league.

From the opening whistle, the Tornadoes were relentless, putting the Shooting Stars under constant pressure. The home team’s dominance was clear, and their determination to break the winless streak paid off in spectacular fashion.
