The Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Hon. Abdulraheem Ozovehe Ohiare, has called on residents to maintain peace and order as the state gears up for local government elections on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

In a statement issued by the Fund’s Public Relations Officer, Mall. Aliyu Abubakar Musa, in Lokoja and a copy got to The Reporters on Friday,Ohiare urged the public to avoid violence, ballot box snatching, and other unlawful actions that could undermine the electoral process.

He noted the remarkable progress Kogi State has achieved under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and warned that no individual or group should be allowed to revert the state to chaos and instability.

Ohiare also assured citizens that the government has empowered security agencies to decisively handle any attempts to disrupt the elections.

“Together, we can ensure a peaceful and credible election, essential for the continued growth and development of our beloved Kogi State,” he added.
