Pastor Ovie Okorodudu, the State Pastor of Christ Embassy in Lokoja, Kogi State Christians has urged Christians to embrace hope in God’s promise of eternal life rather than mourning without hope.
He gave the advice at the funeral of Mr. Emmanuel Nwogu JP in Mbaise, Imo State, South East Nigeria on Saturday.
The cleric, who reminded believers on the need to view death as a transition to glory, commended late Mr. Nwogu’s faith-filled life, assuring that “he now rests in a better place.”
In a heartfelt tribute, Mr. ChukwuEbuka Nwogu, the late Mr. Nwogu’s son, shared memories of his father’s kindness and support, recalling the comfort his father provided while he studied at Imo State University as well as ensuring that the family live in a descent home.
Mr. Nwogu, who passed on in Lokoja on August 28, 2024, during an illness,is survived by his wife, Hon. Avoyi Billie Nwogu, Senior Special Assistant on Print Media to the Kogi Governor, along with three siblings, two biological children, and three adopted children.
Our correspondent reports that the occasion, held at Nwogu’s compound in Umuaweke, Umuevu, Onicha, Ezenihittie, Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, drew many sympathizers from near and far, many of whom testified to the exemplary life of the deceased.
