Niger Tornadoes’ Technical Adviser, Mohammed Majin, has apologized to supporters for the team’s underwhelming performance since their return to Minna.
The club, previously forced to play home games outside Niger State due to the poor condition of the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium, resumed matches at the Minna venue a few months ago.
However, the Tornadoes have struggled, managing only draws in their first three home matches.
Their initial game at Bako Kontagora Stadium against Nasarawa United ended in a goalless draw.
Following that, the team also drew 1-1 with both Bendel Insurance and Lobi Stars.
After last Sunday’s match against Lobi Stars of Makurdi, Majin expressed his disappointment in the outcome.
Although pleased with the officiating, the technical adviser lamented the missed opportunities that cost the team a win, despite their many chances at goal.
Majin appealed to fans for patience and understanding, pledging to refine the team’s strategy for a stronger showing in upcoming games.
“A point is better than none. “Even though Lobi Stars are at the bottom of the table, they have experienced players,”Majin said.
He acknowledged that converting chances into goals remains a challenge, despite extensive training sessions focused on goal-scoring.
“We played well, especially in the first half, but we couldn’t capitalize. We’ll keep working until we get it right, especially in our home matches,” Majin assured supporters.
