VP. Shettima to Unveil Nasarawa’s Human Capital Development Documents in Lafia Oct.12.

Vice President, Sen. Kashim Ibrahim Shettima,GCON and Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, FNSE are among important dignitaries that will attend the public unveiling of the state’s Human Capital Development Strategy Document.

The land mark event, being organized by Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Agency comes up in Lafia on October 12,2024, marks the first time a state-run agency in Nigeria has developed and presented a comprehensive human capital development framework.

The Nasarawa State’s Human Capital Development Strategy Document, titled “Accelerating Growth & Development (2024-2030),” provides a roadmap to enhance the state’s human capital across six priority areas: health and nutrition, education, workforce participation, youth and social development, and community advancement.

This initiative aligns with Nigeria’s Vision 2050 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),aimed at addressing the state’s need for a skilled, and healthy population that can drive inclusive growth and productivity.

Partnerships are central to the plan, with collaboration between the government, private sector, civil society, and international partners being essential for its success.

Emphasizing governance, data-driven decisions, and sustainable funding, the document is poised to make Nasarawa a national leader in human capital development.

The event will also feature the launch of Nasarawa’s Gender Transformative Policy Framework.

This framework aims to address gender disparities across key sectors, promoting gender equality in health, education, employment, and social development.

By creating an inclusive environment, Nasarawa State aims to foster equal access to resources and opportunities, empowering women and girls and enhancing their role in the state’s economic progress.

The Director-General of the Human Capital Development Agency, Habiba Balarabe Suleiman, invites members of the public, academia, traditional leaders, civil society, and international partners to the public presentation of these critical documents.

This launch underscores Nasarawa’s commitment to building a prosperous and equitable future for all its citizens.
