Islamic clerics and many Ebira indigenes living in Lokoja, kogi state, north central Nigeria, on Saturday converged at the palace of the late Odeyani Ebira of Lokoja Alhaji Audu Abdullahi Otonoku to observe 40-day Firdau prayer for the deceased second class traditional ruler.

The traditional ruler,who was 125 years before his demise during an illness reigned for 14 years.

The cleric who offered prayer for the reposed soul of the traditional ruler, described him as a peaceful, religious and God fearing community leader and father to all during his life time.

They prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the late Odeyani Anebira of Lokoja aljanah firdaus and his family and Ebira community,the fortitude to bear the great loss.
The cleric also prayed for the success of the current administration in kogi state under leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
They commended the Governor for prompt payment of workers’ salaries and other people-oriented policies and programs he embarked on.
