Ahead of the Kwara State Local Government elections scheduled for tomorrow, 21st September 2024, the Customs Area Controller of Kwara Area Command, Comptroller Faith Ojeifo, has called on officers deployed for election duty to maintain neutrality and professionalism.

Speaking during an address at the command’s parade ground on Friday, Compt. Ojeifo urged officers to remain apolitical throughout the electoral process, emphasizing the importance of their role in complementing the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies during the exercise.

“Our primary responsibility is to observe and provide support to ensure a smooth and peaceful election,” he stated.

He further stressed that officers must act with diligence, responsibility, and maintain peace before, during, and after the election.

Compt. Ojeifo warned officers to avoid any form of bias, urging them to stay impartial and objective, regardless of political affiliations.

He issued a stern warning against bribery, reiterating the need for integrity during their election duties.
