Etsu Nupe @72,Urges Wealthy Nigerians to Invest in Youths, Women Empowerment.

The Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has called on prominent individuals to collaborate in creating job opportunities and empowering youths and women.

The traditional ruler made the call at during his 72nd birthday celebration and 21 years on the Etsu Nupe throne in Bida.

He emphasized that investing in skills acquisition and education would foster innovation, create jobs, and ensure sustainable development. This approach, he noted, would contribute to socio-economic growth and reduce crime.

Our correspondent reports that the event also marked the launch of the Ahmed Idris Foundation, dedicated to the empowerment of the less privileged, at the Wadata Palace in Bida, Niger State.

Alhaji Abubakar expressed gratitude to God for his longevity and leadership, urging wealthy Nigerians, particularly in the North, to use their resources to support youths and women for a safer society.

He noted that quality education and skill training are crucial for helping unemployed youths and women become self-reliant.

The Etsu Nupe praised Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor, for contributing to his home region and encouraged others to invest in human capacity building.

Alhaji Ahmed Idris, the founder of the foundation, described the initiative as his contribution to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals in Niger State and beyond. The event saw support for over 500 individuals from the Bida Emirate, including cash donations and rice distributions.
