GSM Village,Lokoja razed by fire, goods worth over N500m perished.

Assorted cellphones and other electrical devices, worth over N500 million on Thursday morning,got burnt as Lokoja GSM village went into flame due to power upsurge.

Our correspondent who visited the village along Marine area of Lokoja, gathered that the fire started at about 3.30 a.m on Thursday.

Emeka, one of the cellphone traders in the village, told The Reporters that the fire was as a result of power outage.

He said he alone  lost goods worth over N50 million to the disaster.

The Reports gathered that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo was at the village to sympathize with the victims and directed  KOSEMA to assess the level of destruction for other action.
