A university professor, Prof. Sunday Ajayi Owolabi, has encouraged his fellow academics to reproduce themselves through their students by nurturing innovation and leadership, emphasizing the importance of dedication and hard work in academia.
Professor Owolabi gave the advice during a courtesy visit to Summit University, Offa, Kwara State, on Tuesday.
The institution hosted him in recognition of his contributions to the field.
A distinguished scholar in Accounting at Babcock University, Prof. Owolabi is renowned for his work in Corporate Governance, Financial Management, and Public Sector Accounting.
His influence extends through his widely cited publications, mentorship, and supervision of young academics.
During his address, Prof. Owolabi stressed the pivotal role private universities play in driving innovation and contributing to national educational development.
He encouraged both staff and students to strive for excellence and continuous personal and professional growth.
Alhaji Dauda Ayantayo Ayandare, Managing Director of Atman Limited, Osogbo, also spoke at the event, offering strategic insights for achieving success in today’s competitive world.
Professor Owolabi’s visit include meetings with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Musa Aibinu, as well as select staff, researchers, and students at the University’s Research and Innovation Unit.
The discussions focused on key strategies for achieving academic excellence.
