The opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP),in kogi state, has elected new leadership to pilot the affairs of the party for four years.
At the state congress held at Kefas Hall in Lokoja on Saturday, Hon. Enemona Anyebe emerged as the new Chairman.
Other elected officials are:
Deputy State Chairman: Alhaji Yahaya Karaku
State Secretary: Sunday Olufemi Ibrahim,Organizing Secretary: Abdulkadir Ibrahim,Legal Adviser: Senibj Segun,Financial Secretary: Hon. Paul Ukwenya while the post of Publicity Secretary goes to.Hon. Umoru Tijani Aruwa.
Others include:Treasurer: Hon. Audu Siyaka Uhanaye,Auditor: Hon. Jude Sule,Women Leader: Mrs. Esther Soje and Youth Leader: Yunusa Adazake
Other elected positions are:
State Vice Chairmen:Hon. Igagwu Haruna (East), Hon. Anthony Akuvada (Central) Ibrahim Taiwo (West)
Assistant Legal Adviser: Bar. Samson Audu,Assistant Financial Secretary: Hon. Emmanuel Daku,Assistant Treasurer: Mr. Salawu Fortune Omuya,Assistant Youth Leader: Hon. Adebisi John,Assistant Organizing Secretary: Tolushi Michael Segun,Assistant Publicity Secretary: Ajiboye Ola Bolaji.

One thousand , nine hundred and forty three delegates were accredited at the Congress.
Our correspondent reports that the election of the new exco marks the end the tenure of the previous caretaker Executive Council, led by Senator Danjuma Lah.
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee for the Congress, Senator Istifanus Gyang, described the conduct of the election as smooth, adding that the officials were unoppose.
He urged the new officials to uphold transparency and accountability, reminding them that true power resides with the people.
Some former national and State Assembly members, INEC officials, and other party stakeholders attended the occasion.
