Kogi Governor Champions Development Through Empowerment Programme for 300 Beneficiaries in Ajaokuta.

The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, says empowering people is crucial for societal development.

Speaking at the launch of a new initiative in Ajaokuta on Saturday he distributed farm implements, tools, and cash to over 300 beneficiaries.

This programme, facilitated by Hon. Sanni Abdurrahim Egidi, aims to enhance local livelihoods and spur economic growth.

Governor Ododo praised Hon. Egidi’s commitment to societal welfare and adding his efforts has the long-term benefits that will enable individuals to become self-reliant.

Ododo,who assured the public of continued efforts of his administration to improve Kogi State,expressed support for the revival of the Ajaokuta Steel Company.

The governor announced a 100-hectare land grant to the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology for future development.

The empowerment programme include the distribution of various items such as fertilizer, machinery, and cash donations, with special provisions for people with disabilities.

Earlier Egidi had outlined the programme’s scope, including educational infrastructure improvements and the installation of solar lights.

He emphasized that this is just the first phase of a broader, ongoing initiative, designed to benefit all corners of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.
