Remain Focused, United Amidst False Allegations, KCF President Advises Members.

Members of Kogi State Cooperative Federation (KCF) have been urged to remain focused and unite, despite attacks and distractions from mischief makers in their attempt to dent the image of the organisation.

The President of the Cooperative Federation, Alhaji Shaibu Otue, gave the advice during a meeting of Cooperators held at their office in Lokoja on Thursday.

Alhaji Otue expressed worry that the recent attacks on the Cooperative Federation resulting from wrong information was masterminded by mischief makers bent on frustrating the organisation’s activities.

Giving an account of what happened,Otue recalled that the Cooperative Federation previously experienced leadership crises,a development he added,caused enormous setbacks until a zoning arrangement was adopted to carry all parts of the state along.

He said KCF also went ahead to create database of all members, which necessitated the sale of forms to members.

He expressed concern that mischief makers, who were not pleased with the innovations going in the KCF, decided to misconstrue that to mean KCF was selling forms to the public, using the office of the Governor’s wife as a cover-up.

The president of KCF, said that the allegation led to the arrest of some Executive members, expressed appreciation to the State Government and Security agents for their professional investigation and that led to the release of the membrane affected.

He assured members that the Cooperative Federation, under his leadership, would progress like its counterparts elsewhere in the world,citing the Lagos State Cooperative Federation Secretariat built with N3 billion.

The president of KCF urged members to be resolute and aim at achieve the objectives of the cooperative in accordance with the as expectation of Cooperative’s Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

He thanked the State Director, Cooperative Society, Alhaji Tenimu Mohmoh, Hajiah Hanatu Umoru, and members for their concern and love during the challenging time.

In a remark, Alhaji Tenimu Mohmoh,who noted that KCF is a household name that cannot be rubbished or neglected, called on members to strive for excellence to actualize their dreams, and adopt team spirit to address basic needs for internal running.

He emphasized the importance of attitudinal change, particularly in subscription, which he described as a foundation expected from all members.

The director advised executive members to mobilize other members during critical moments, pointing out that attendance at the meeting was below expectation.

In his vote of thanks, Chief Oloniyo John, Chairman Temidire Cooperative and Thrift Credit Union, thanked the Director for his leadership capabilities and described him as a psychologist who can feel the pulse of the people.

He maintained that KCF would continue to progress with sincerity of purpose, trust, unity, and transparency.
