Alhaji Abdullahi Ubeida, consultant to the Kogi State Cooperative Federation of Nigeria, has appreciated kogi state government for professional investigation in response to the recent allegations levelled against him and three others.
He also commended the state government for his release as well as three other individuals allegedly involved in the matter.
The consultant gave the commendation on Tuesday while speaking during a meeting with members of the Kogi Unity Movement,KUM, in Lokoja where he briefed them on the issue.
In a statement he signed and released to The Reporters at the end of the meeting, Ubeida said:”I, Alhaji Abdullahi Ubeida, the consultant to Kogi State Cooperative Federation of Nigeria, on the 6th of August, 2024, at about 3:00p.m, my attention was drawn onto an allegation that my office was selling an empowerment form from the office of Her Excellency, Hajia Sefinat Ahmed Usman Ododo.
“However, nothing of such happened, and I have never advised or given such order to any of my staff to sell a document that does not belong to my office.
“On behalf of myself as the consultant and my staff, I appreciate the government quick and professional response in the investigation and clearing us of the allegations.
“Most respectfully, I am minded to think most blogs either have a less than accurate understanding of the situation.
“I advise the general public to at least ,verify any discriminatory allegations that can cause defamation of character to any person before uploading social media posts.”
